Every since I can remember, turmeric has been the superfood that felt like THE SUPERFOOD. As a child and into high school, I never took turmeric—the reason being that in high school, I was not into herbs like I am now. None the less, turmeric still felt like food only consumed by celebrities. Not the case. 


Turmeric is an excellent anti-inflammatory. As I become more athletic in my college days, I was introduced to turmeric to help ease muscles. In my nightly tea time, turmeric is one of my go-to's.


Nowadays: Turmeric helps the liver function and is a jaundice treatment in Chinese herbal medicine. 

Turmeric and Cancer link: There may be a valuable preventive remedy for those at risk of cancer, but not enough research has been done to prove this.
